Q. Is this Purewasher?
A. We have changed the name of our cleaner from Purewasher to SmellyWasher Cleaner for consistency's sake (Smellywasher Cleaner at smellywasher.com). The cleaner is now shipped in a plastic bottle instead of a reclosable storage bag. The bottle’s lid can be used as a measuring cup. One level cap full is perfect for 1 treatment.

 

Q. How Did Smellywasher® come about?
A. For years we had been using industrial strength cleaners with harsh chemicals to clean units that we serviced. We decided to create a cleaner that was safe for your family and the environment. Smellywasher cleaner is non-toxic and specifically made to clean clothes and washers and will not harm seals, gaskets or drains. And it is safe with all septic systems!

 

Q. What do professionals use to get rid of odor and mildew in washing machines?
A. We have been approached by numerous newspaper columnists and radio talk show hosts that ask to feature Smellywasher® cleaner. Q. How do I remove mildew from towels?
A.  Detergent and fabric softener buildup will allow fungus to grow inside your washer because it is a food source for mold and fungus spores. The washer is the perfect place for fungus to grow because it is wet and dark with virtually no airflow. The spores will accumulate on your towels and clothing and can affect people with allergies or asthma problems.

The normal reaction most users have when they smell an odor from either their washing machine, bath towels, kitchen towels or clothes is to increase their detergent or fabric softener amount. This only increases the problem and provides more food for mold spores to grow. The "rule of thumb" for detergent use in any washing machine is to use only 1/4 of what instructions advise
 
Q. I used Smellywasher® cleaner but can still detect a faint odor from my washer.
A. Almost all customers are able to remove odor from their washer with just one cleaning. Depending on your washer’s age, type, the amount of detergent/ fabric softener used and quality of water, it may take more than one cleaning to remove the odor.

A. To purchase Smellywasher, simply click on the "Buy Now" button on the top right. $3.00 S&H will be added to your order. Remember to make sure your PayPal shipping address is correct before clicking the "Buy Now" button.

Orders are normally processed the same day and are sent via USPS first class the following business day. Tracking is not available unless 3 orders purchased. No International Tracking.

 

Q. I am having problems processing my order. Am I doing something wrong?
A. The most common reasons why an order will not go through are that your credit information was entered wrong, the credit card is expired, or the Paypal account is no longer active. If you are having trouble with Paypal, you can also order by Google Checkout or by phone.
 
Q. I do not have a Paypal account but Paypal sent me an email notifying me that my Paypal account had been used. Is this normal?
A. Paypal also handles our credit card transactions and you may get an email notification from SmellyWasher and Paypal. Google checkout sends a shipping notification. If ordering by phone you may request a receipt to be sent to your email address.

 

Q. Do you ship overseas?
A. We ship anywhere in the world using USPS so there are no duty fees on your end. However, the order must go through customs so it may take up to two full weeks for delivery. Please remember that overseas customers must order two! There are no added shipping charges for Canada.

 

Q. How long after ordering will I receive my Smellywasher® cleaner?  
A. Orders are normally processed the same day and are sent via USPS first class the following business day. Tracking is not available unless 3 orders are purchased.
